The general election takes place on November 7 2006.
Some months ago Thom asked Congressman Bernie Sanders, "What can we best do, activists out their all across the United States who want to help take back America? Should we give money to the Democratic Party, the Green Party, some independent, what should we do?" And he said, "Find independent candidates, whether they be Republicans, Democrats, Independents, Greens, Libertarians, whatever, who really and truly represent your values and support those individual candidates.
As a result, Thom has a "Taking My Country back" segment on his national show, highlighting candidates from around the United States, and also interviews candidates in other segments. Here are some he's had on the show, and of course that includes Bernie who's running for Senate:
