The Java software is free - just go to http://www.java.com/en/download/index.jsp to download and install it, if you're having problems entering chat.Macintosh and Linux users should go to http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp and choose the operating system and platform they need (Mac info is at the bottom of the page). If this is your first visit, you'll have to register to gain access (this is a separate registration and database from the one for the Message Boards, although you can use the same name and password). After you've registered, you can simply log in. (This system requires you to take a cookie from the program so it can recognize you when you return.) If you have popup-preventing software installed, you'll probably have to hold down the Control key when you click on the Help or Register buttons. (Note that while this chat room is open 24/7, and you're welcome to use it anytime, most people show up during the Noon-3 PM Eastern Time hours when Thom's show is live on the air.)
