Your opening line cast Bonnie's source in line with (apparently) your perspective, and did so with one word which is routinely used by spin-doctors to devalue the information in the message. Did it happen or not? Was the speech given? Those are valid questions, and ones that you could ask, without editorializing what you think about the content of the speech.

That you believe its presence is an example of what you characterize as a "conspiracy theory" is the ad hom part.

Kate, I wanted to be upfront that I had a bias against such reports. And as such would be suspicious to such allegations.
While I am sure he gave such a speech sometime from 1907 to 1917???, I did not actually comment on the contents. The fact that the speech was given was exemplified by the fact that so many quote it word for word.

The other links (including his quotes) are what I considered facts as to his reason for either creating a conspiracy or getting entangled in such.

But hey...

It's OK Kate....

Questioning the authenticity and motives of the information we are presented with is the current topic.

If Ron wants to question my questioning that's fine. In fact, I encourage it.

'lo all...with regard to the idea that 'paid' bloggers are working the web...aren't we being a bit parinoid?

I mean, who would pay anyone to blog?

ealier, someone wrote they wanted $1.00 per minute to blog...the most I ever got was $5.25 an hour before they outsourced to India...but I digress...

no one would ever pay anyone to blog so relax and listen to the propaganda...

Hey, guys and girls. I finally fingered it out (thanks RisingTide). These "NeoCons" are Moonies. I'm doing research on the Rev. Moon and his connections to the Bush Administration, and the Conservatives (mainly Republican Conservatives), and Fundamentalist Christians (Rev. Falwell in particular and some Black Churches). It all comes together. Paid bloggers is a classic Rev. Moonie profile! These trolls are Moonies!

Sorry Kate, I don't mean to ruin the fun Wink I just wonder why some people don't want to do their own research.

Lehune (sp?)R, ND sucessfully used bloggers in his race against Daschle, except his two top bloggers were paid something like $35,000 each. My understanding was that they put pressure not on the reading public, but on the main newspapers and that's how they shaped their message.

risingtide's a moonie? Whodathunkit!

RT, I surfed around a bit; didn't find Lisa's link, but here's something for you:
quote:
According to a secret Pentagon report personally approved by Rumsfeld in October 2003 and obtained by Rolling Stone, the Strategic Command is authorized to engage in "military deception" -- defined as "presenting false information, images or statements." The seventy-four-page document, titled "Information Operations Roadmap," also calls for psychological operations to be launched over radio, television, cell phones and "emerging technologies" such as the Internet. In addition to being classified secret, the road map is also stamped noforn, meaning it cannot be shared even with our allies.

As the acknowledged general of such propaganda warfare, Rendon insists that the work he does is for the good of all Americans. "For us, it's a question of patriotism," he says. "It's not a question of politics, and that's an important distinction. I feel very strongly about that personally. If brave men and women are going to be put in harm's way, they deserve support." But in Iraq, American troops and Iraqi civilians were put in harm's way, in large part, by the false information spread by Rendon and the men he trained in information warfare. And given the rapid growth of what is known as the "security-intelligence complex" in Washington, covert perception managers are likely to play an increasingly influential role in the wars of the future.

Well, that one is one my Holiday list.

Although, like "The World is Flat...", I kinda don't want to read it. The external "truths" discussed in the book are probably more disturbing than the internal "truths" inside my head.

In terms of the law, Iv just given you the formula for STOPING WAR !PERIOD!
Its nothing new, the formula has been used for as long as there has been WAR.
What can be new is that you actually engage this formula and stop the wars, but thats not all,
This formula can be used to change the face of every issue that concerns you and effects WHO YOU ARE.
If you dont know who YOU are for sure and cannot articulate such to the government, YOU will and are
PRO war and PR whatever their policies and your tax dollars say you are.
For a great many years your government hasnt painted a very pretty picture in your image, I want to show you the only constitutional or institutional way possibly left to repair that.
Im not telling anyone what to be, im just giving you the chance to let me tell you that who ever you are you must be that officially and recognized by government so that you then would have the power you dont have now, to reflect who you are back out to the world through and by the government that now claims to represent you.

Now if you read through these 2 rulings carefully I think it would help at this point;
United States v. Seeger

380 U.S. 163 (1965)

Facts of the Case:

This case involved the application of the Universal Military Training and Service Act which exempted people from military service if their religious training or belief makes them opposed to such service. It defined appropriate training or belief as an individual's belief in a relation to a Supreme Being involving duties superior to those arising from any human relation, but [not including] essentially political, sociological, or philosophical views or a merely personal moral code." One person involved in the suit believed in a supreme reality while another believed in a universal reality. Neither of these were included in the class of beliefs covered by the Act. They claimed that the law unfairly did not exempt non-religious conscientious objectors and that it discriminated between different forms of religious beliefs.

Decision:

In a unanimous opinion, the Court allowed those people with general theistic belief systems to be declared conscientious objectors.

Majority Opinion: (Justice Clark)

The decision must be based on the definition of Supreme Being and determine whether it includes the theism that the parties involved espouse. Specifically, the intent of Congress in the wording of the language must be determined. The use of the term Supreme Being appears to have been used to distinguish religious beliefs from social, political, or philosophical beliefs which are not allowed to be used for conscientious objections. The statements of a variety of theologians support the notion that religious belief encompasses a variety of interpretations of reality. The question to be asked to assess which beliefs are considered religious is, It is essentially an objective one, namely, does the claimed belief occupy the same place in the life of the objector as an orthodox belief in God holds in the life of one clearly qualified for exemption? Weight must be given to the claims of individuals when determining whether their beliefs are religious.

Significance:

This decision establishes an expansive definition of what constitutes religious-type beliefs. Provided that the belief is not strictly personal and the person claims that the beliefs serve the same function as a traditional religious belief, the state should recognize its validity. As a result, when applying for status as a conscientious objector, believers in nontraditional variances of monotheism are offered the same rights as people of traditional faiths.

Welsh v. United States

398 U.S. 333 (1970)

Facts of the Case:

Welsh was convicted of refusing to accept induction into the armed forces. He sought conscientious objector status but did not base it on any religious beliefs. He said that he could not affirm nor deny the existence of a Supreme Being. Rather, Welsh asserted his moral opposition to conflict in which people are being killed. He alleged that the sincerity of his belief should qualify him for exemption from military duty under the Universal Military Training and Service Act. The Act allowed only those people whose opposition to the war was based on religious beliefs to be declared conscientious objectors.

Decision:

In a 5-3 decision, the Court allowed Welsh to be declared a conscientious objector even though he declared that his opposition to war was not based on religious convictions.

Majority Opinion: (Justice Black)

This case has many similarities to the Seeger decision in which a person was exempted from military service because his views were based on a his views of an ultimate reality. The Selective Service identifies two differences between the cases. First, Welsh insisted that his views were not religious. He crossed out the word religious on the application form and said his views were formed by reading in the fields of history and sociology. The Court rejects this claim because it places too much emphasis on the interpretation by the individual of his beliefs. Although an individuals assertion that his views are religious is to be regarded highly, the opposite proclamation is not to be similarly viewed. The other distinction the Selective Service identified was that Welshs views were political in nature. This ignore the depth of Welshs beliefs. Under this interpretation, the Universal Military and Service Act, exempts from military service all those whose consciences, spurred by deeply held moral, ethical, or religious beliefs, would give them no rest or peace if they allowed themselves to become a part of an instrument of war.

Significance:

This decision greatly expands the types of beliefs that can be used to obtain conscientious objector status. The depth and fervency of the beliefs are critical to determining which views exempt an individual from military service.

--------------------

If you understand the definitions above and then have read and understand these rulings, u should understand that being a consciencious objector or a conscientious objector has nothing whatsoever to do with religion, it simply goes to what you believe.
What if your 1st amendment rights to freedom of religion are expressly based in provable scientific fact, the laws of nature, because thats what you BELIEVE?
what if establishing ones own individual rights as such by way of the 1st amendment of the u.s. constitution could set a foundation to effect everything from G.M.O. patents to environmental destruction, poverty and war, not to mention go along way to help'n folks understand who and what they really are emits all the dogma/propaganda/organized bull shite currently thought of by the 100th monkey as religion..?
Is anyone here interested further?
Oops never mind...this just n...from da ignoreantz war maker watch dep....
"Unfortunately, I dont think that had anything to do with the topic at hand unless you think that peoples role in government in general should be that of conscientious objector. If that was the case nothing would ever get done. "

well spunglugar,

Friday night I crashed your party
Saturday I said Im sorry
Sunday came and trashed me out again
I was only having fun
Wasnt hurting anyone
And we all enjoyed the weekend for a change

Ive been stranded in the combat zone
I walked through bedford stuy alone
Even rode my motorcycle in the rain
And you told me not to drive
But I made it home alive
So you said that only proves that Im insane

You may be right
I may be crazy
But it just may be a lunatic youre looking for
Turn out the light
Dont try to save me
You may be wrong for all I know
But you may be right

Remember how I found you there
Alone in your electric chair
I told you dirty jokes until you smiled
You were lonely for a man
I said take me as I am
cause you might enjoy some madness for awhile

Now think of all the years you tried to
Find someone to satisfy you
I might be as crazy as you say
If Im crazy then its true
That its all because of you
And you wouldnt want me any other way

You may be right
I may be crazy
But it just may be a lunatic youre looking for
Its too late to fight
Its too late to change me
You may be wrong for all I know
But you may be right

You may be right
I may be crazy
But it just may be a lunatic youre looking for
Turn out the light
Dont try to save me
You may be wrong for all I know
But you may be right
You may be wrong but you may be right
You may be wrong but you may be right

WAR IS A HELLISH FORCE OF NATURE IGNOREANTZ...IN MY PANTZ

The rules of engagement:
1. these rules will only apply if the ignoreantz operatives {known 2 have committed human rights violations and crimes against humanity post, present and in all times past} do abide by these civilized standards.
2. each of the forums in the theater will be allowed 1 DMZ thread which must be marked as such in the subject heading, this will provide a safe heaven 4 conversation refugees and tending to the miles of wounded.
3. the battle field is no place 4 innocent women and children, unless you are an ignoreant insurgent please stay safely in the DMZoned threads.
4. these rules of engagement will apply unless and until Thomass The HartlessMan

So what we're left with is the same solution that works best with children who are engaging in attention-getting behavior on a schoolyard. Ignore them. Literally - do not mention them, their behavior, or their names. Act as if they totally don't exist.
This is the only solution that consistently works. When ignored, such people eventually go away (usually after a short-term burst of escalated bad behavior, going for the most emotionally hard-hitting stuff they can find to beat up well-behaved members with).

So many of my friends and relatives young and oldMan that lived in the BIG HARD
were ignored in every way by the ignoreantz 4 soooooo many impoverished and painfully naked years, then they were ignored again and the problem children and Supertramps 4 miles who were not killed by the perfect #s cleansing storm were shot down by the perfect #s cleansing dirty deads blacktwater powderfingered shoot to kill death squads of the ignoreantz.
Like the principles of Nature and the laws of such, like Newmans apple, you can
Call me Katrina...and like this yearo ourselves 2005, you can consider me the most FrantiC hurricane season on record 4 miles of worknKlausheroboneheadedmen like the hartless thoms Andger and all the Ignoreantz that have been in all our pants for thousands of years...
Before the flood I think it not odd to point out what you did miles in your parting nodd,
Miles of posts telling me WHAT TO DO and declaring a WAR, I offer away to make
WAR no more, then you say for miles DONT TELL ME WHAT TO DO while you
Close the door on the all for the few...how sad for me and you and all the rest to...
You fire the first shot hartlessman, and it rang 4 miles who then came at my styles...
Look out, mama, theres a white boat comin up the river
With a big red beacon, and a flag, and a man on the rail
I think youd better call john,
cause it dont look like theyre here to deliver the mail
And its less than a mile away
I hope they didnt come to stay
Its got numbers on the side and a gun
And its makin big waves.
Daddys gone, my brothers out hunting in the mountains
Big johns been drinking since the river took emmy-lou
So the powers that be left me here to do the thinkin
And I just turned twenty-two
I was wonderin what to do
And the closer they got,
The more those feelings grew.
Daddys rifle in my hand felt reassurin
He told me, red means run, son, numbers add up to nothin
But when the first shot hit the docks I saw it comin
Raised my rifle to my eye
Never stopped to wonder why.
Then I saw black,
And my face splashed in the sky.
Shelter me from the powder and the finger
Cover me with the thought that pulled the trigger
Think of me as one youd never figured
Would fade away so young
With so much left undone
Remember me to my love,
I know Ill miss her.
Heres a little song to make you feel good
Put a little light in your day
These are crazy times
And its all been getting pretty serious
Heres a little song to make you feel right
Send the blues away
Well its a crazy game
Tell me whos to blame, Im kind of curious.
Right if you win, wrong if you lose
Nobody listens when youre singing the blues
Well somethings the matter, but nothing gets done
Oh everyones waiting for a place in the sun
Well something is wrong now
Can something be wrong with me
Oh brother, whys it got to be so crazy...
Gimme little left, gimme little right
Gimme little black, gimme little white
Gimme little peace, gimme little hope
Gimme little light
cause you know it seems that the situations getting serious.
Right if you win, wrong if you lose
Nobody listens when youre singing the blues
Well somethings the matter, but nothing gets done
Theres no use in waiting for a place in the sun
cause something is wrong now
Can something be wrong with me
Oh brother, whys it got to be so crazy...
Oh something is wrong with me
Oh brother, whys it got to be this crazy...

low power frequency radio modulation
the big sound from the underground another pirate radio station
we bring the truth to places truth is never heard before
we bring the sound communication of our tribal war
Aurora borealis
The icy sky at night
Paddles cut the water
In a long and hurried flight
From the white man to the fields of green
And the homeland weve never seen.
They killed us in our tepee
And they cut our women down
They might have left some babies
Cryin on the ground
But the firesticks and the wagons come
And the night falls on the setting sun.
They massacred the buffalo
Kitty corner from the bank
The taxis run across my feet
And my eyes have turned to blanks
In my little box at the top of the stairs
With my indian rug and a pipe to share.
I wish a was a trapper
I would give thousand pelts
To sleep with pocahontas
And find out how she felt
In the mornin on the fields of green
In the homeland weve never seen.
And maybe marlon brando
Will be there by the fire
Well sit and talk of hollywood
And the good things there for hire
And the astrodome and the first tepee
Marlon brando, pocahontas and me
Marlon brando, pocahontas and me
Pocahontas.
Theres colors on the street
Red, white and blue
People shufflin their feet
People sleepin in their shoes
But theres a warnin sign on the road ahead
Theres a lot of people sayin wed be better off dead
Dont feel like satan, but I am to them
So I try to forget it, any way I can.
Keep on rockin in the free world,
Keep on rockin in the free world
Keep on rockin in the free world,
Keep on rockin in the free world.
I see a woman in the night
With a baby in her hand
Under an old street light
Near a garbage can
Now she puts the kid away, and shes gone to get a hit
She hates her life, and what shes done to it
Theres one more kid that will never go to school
Never get to fall in love, never get to be cool.
Keep on rockin in the free world,
Keep on rockin in the free world
Keep on rockin in the free world,
Keep on rockin in the free world.
We got a thousand points of light
For the homeless man
We got a kinder, gentler,
Machine gun hand
We got department stores and toilet paper
Got styrofoam boxes for the ozone layer
Got a man of the people, says keep hope alive
Got fuel to burn, got roads to drive.
Keep on rockin in the free world,
Keep on rockin in the free world
Keep on rockin in the free world,
Keep on rockin in the free world.
(chorus)
Starvation is the creation of the devil, a rebel
I'm bringin' food to the people like a widow
bringin' flowers to a grave in the middle
of the city isolation is a riddle
to be surrounded by a million other people
but to feel alone like a tree in a desert
dried up like the skin of a lizard
but full of colour like the spots of a leopard
drum and bass pull me in like a shepherd
scratch my itch like a needle on a record
full of life like a man gone to Mecca
sky high like an eagle up soaring
I speak low but I'm like a lion roaring
baritone like a Robeson recordin'
I'm givin' thanks for bein' human every morning
(chorus)
Because the streets are alive with the sound of Boom Bap
can I hear it once again
Boom Bap tell your neighbour tell afriend
every box gotta right to be bomin'
because the streets are alive with the sound of Boom Bap
can I hear it once again
Boom Bap tell your neighbour tell a friend
Every flower got a right to be boomin'
Be resistant
the negativity we keep it at a distance
call for backup and I'll give you some assistance
like a lifesaver deep in the ocean
stay afloat here upon the funky motion
rock and roll upon the waves of the season
hold your breath and your underwater breathin'
To be rhymin' without a real reason
is to claim but not to practice a religon
if television is the drug of the nation
satellite is immaculate reception
beaming in they can look and they can listen
so you see don't believe in the system
to legalize you or give you your freedom
you want rights ask em', they'll read em'
but every flower got a right to be bloomin'
stay human
(chorus)
All the freaky people make the beauty of the world
You see Y2K ya know is a moment
in time we find that we can open
up a heart that's locked or been broken
by the pain of words not spoken
or shot by guns a still smokin'
Cartwrights out on the Ponderosa
or drive by bang in Testarossa
we need to heed the words of Dalai Lama
or at least the words of yo mama
take a mental trip to the Bahamas
steam your body in a stereo sauna, sauna, comma
Seems like everyday gets a little bit longer
seems like yesterday I was a little but stronger
but there ain't nothin'
nothin' I can't do
but to hold my ground
try not to come unwound
don't wanna be let down
but it ain't easy
doin' hard time
for somebody else's crime
(chorus)
Hate is what got me here
but I know that love sweet love is gonna set me free
all the hatred in the world is what got me here today
but I know that love is gonna set me free
Man I been away for so long now
I ain't seen no daylight for God knows how long now
I come out fightin' when I hear that bell ring
I always hear my name
but I'd love to feel the rain come down one mo time
wash away my pain
love like a hurricane
Know who you are
Theres a world wants to know you
Know where to go...
Theres a world wants to touch you
Feel all you can...
Let your heart speak and guide you
Dont be afraid...
Of the love deep inside you.
Bring it out for everyone
When you smile we can see the sun
Bring it out for all to hear
Because youve so much to give
And theres so much to know
But if you wait for your moment
Well, it may never show.
Know who you are...
Theres a new song inside you.
Weep if you can...
Let the tears fall behind you.
Bring it out for everyone.
When you smile we can see the sun,
Sing it out for all to hear
Because youve so much to say
And youve so much to do
And everyones waiting,
Yes, its all up to you.
Know who you are...
Theres a world deep inside you,
Trust me if you can...
Theres a friend to guide you.
I was born botanical
the soul of an animal
deep beneath the layers, I sink my roots
no need for mechanical
I come strictly organical
when I need to feast, I look to the East
that's why I'm never scared of the beast
even though they try to prey upon me
I'm protected by the one always greater than me
so now I reveal to thee
because you wanna see
the contour of my mystery
the strength of my arches
the colour of my conscience
and the way that I process my diction
some fact some diction some mystery
some future fantasy
I'm the trunk that holds the branches
the leaves who do the dances
my flowers romantic
my love gigantic
from Africa, transplanted transatlantic
in the heat of the sun
I bring shade for everyone
like the beat on the one
I'm the skin on the drum
(chorus)
I keep on living with the fullness of the one
like the heat of the sun or the skin on the drum
I'm fully marinated and now I'm ready for the fire
so you can fire one
fire one
fire two
See I've been fully marinated
and now I'm ready for the fire
see I'm beginning to perspire
from deep within to the skin
yo, the feminine and the masculine
the pieces of the puzzle
see my reflections in the puddle
after the storm the purple of the sky
brings to mind another time
when we resided
below the water line
life was fine there human divine
but in the years following
evil men came swallowing
everything in sight
some learned to run, some stayed to fight
I kneeled at the tomb of the soldier
said I would love to behold her
the magic in store there
she touched me on the shoulder
she said, "in time all is revealed, box of light be unsealed
now listen to me son, be like the skin on the drum"
(chorus)
And as the pepper gas clears
and police and protestors go home
just as the morning dew are tear drops of the night
my emotions are always there for you
and will never leave you dry
bless
We need help, we need love
We need a revolution
We need food, we need homes
We need a revolution
We need a say in how the whole thing goes
We need a revolution
We need truth, we need peace
We need a revolution
Weve got to stand up off our bloody knees
We need a revolution YEAH!...
Weve come a million years
With our sticks in our hands
Some are fighting bloody wars
Some are bangin with the band
Were rock n roll soldiers here to tell the truth
Its love we need, let us give some to you
And Im just going crazy when I see you there
Cause I just want to tell you I care
Weve used up most of what there used to be
Not much left for baby and me
So you know weve stopped eating what you call meat
Were gonna stop cutting down all our precious trees
Were gonna live as clean and green as we can
Or we might be the end of man!
Its all for a cause, we do it because
Its all for the children, we do it because
Its all for the people, we do it because
Its all for the world so we can keep rockin on
Keep on rockin it will be alright
Effect everyone and everything in your sight
Theres a cause man havent you heard
Youve got to do your best to help save the world!...{last som of my own pen,1990}
Repeat over and over and over 4 miles...the war has begun...fire 1 from the somz of the attacked , fire 2 is comen so watch out yo bak...
They harder you hit us, the louder we become...
Just like the skin on a drum...
