Since you have self-defined yourself as a classic sociopath, accepting your word on that is out of the question. Is that why you are not in the military? you do know they are accepting metally defective people now. They need you NOW, go sign up to be one of the 21,000...

In 1989 all flag burning penalties were struck down by the Supreme Court in Texas v Johnson. Like it or not, flag burning protests are PROTECTED FREE SPEECH. So obviously what’s unacceptable are YOUR comments here threatening physical assault against flag burners. It’s made all the more bizarre because you’ve seen proof Bush violated at least 2 provisions of the flag code yet you refuse to make a protest to him. I tire of this discussion and your hypocrisy.

At 48, they wouldn't appreciate me calling my drill sgt "boy". I shoot with some active duty and they are good guys. We send a fair amount of support to some guys over in Iraq. They all need our support. As I've said, which a couple of you all refuse to listen to, I do not support outlawing flag burning. You just take your chances doing it in front of me is all. It's a choice.

They sure do. Too bad you didn't think of this before the arrogant neocon thugs that comprise the heart of the Bush Junta decided to lie to the nation as a prelude to an illegal invasion of a nation that posed no threat to US. Perhaps it’s time for people like you rethink your support for radicals that have taken over the GOP. These are not the old Goldwater conservatives. Their only core goals are to sabotage the nation’s finances… and impose US will on the world. While they throw you trinkets in the form of tax cuts in reality they have nothing but contempt for True Believers like you. So much so they refuse to even tell you their true agenda. Now the policies of the chicken hawks have come home to roost. And I bet you think supporting the troops is the most patriotic thing you can do. It will never occur to you that REAL partiots are trying to rid the nation of this criminal regime.

I know... for you patriotism is all about symbols, not substance. Thanks for another demonstration of your intellectual and moral bankruptcy.

Ya but they're true. LOL. This thread proves that you advocate illegal physical assaults against people engaging in protected free speech. I’m sure you you’re deluded into thinking that makes you a real patriot. Oh gee... another boring, but true, insult.

It took you that long to come to that conclusion? Jesus, what a brick. If this were fishing, a trout pond would be more challenging.

Thanks for admitting that, at heart, you're nothing but a Brown Shirt thug masquerading as an American patriot. But then we all knew that. I think this discussion has come to an end. You can’t demonstrate that there’s any reason besides a misguided secular religion to consider the American Flag “sacred”… nor can you justify why flag burners, exercising protected free speech rights, deserve to be physically assaulted by Brown Shirts like you.

The whole discussion is about the same as the feelings muslims had from the Danish publication of Muhammed cartoons. As a matter of fact it's hard to see any difference at all. I knew we had an american taliban in the fundamentalist religious right, so american jihadists are to be expected too, I guess. American flag and Muhammed, both are mere images held in the extreme view, in need of protection, or defending. I think a colisseum contest, with muslim 'flag burners' on one side, and American 'Muhammed defilers' on the other would be damn entertaining, pay per view of course.

why would any American burn an American flag? seems weird someone would yern to be disrespectful, distasteful and crass.
i love all the feigned curiosity from the left too like '.. why should someone be upset about flag burning..' like we don't know it's just a ward churchhillian cry for attention.
whatever. i'm confident younger/future generations will correct these boomer attitudes over time and this stuff will disappear.

Do you SERIOUSLY believe that flag burning was invented by baby boomers? Perhaps if you had even a superficial understanding of history and the right to free speech, you wouldn’t make such a ridiculous prediction.
