As Thom says, "GET ACTIVE!"
After the USS Maine, the Lusitania, Gulf of Tonkin, 9-11-01, you'd think people would start to investigate these desperate attempts by our military-industrial-oil complex to lure the US people in supporting yet another bloody and costly war that only serves to enrich those already fat with money and power.
Tuesday's claim by our NeoCon-controlled government that three naval warships came under aggressive action by Iranian vessels in the Straight of Hormuz dissolves like our Constitutional rights in the salt chuck despite claims otherwise by Pentagon's Defense Department spokesman Bryan Whitman.
The report by AP writer Robert Burns describes the three US warships coming under some sort of hostile actions by several comparatively tiny Iranian patrol boats and threatening words were spoken by the Iranians . . . "they were closing (on) our ships and the ships would explode," said Vice Adm. Kevin Cosgriff commander of the US 5th Fleet. "Subsequently, two of these boats were observed dropping objects in the water generally in the path of the final ship in the formation, the USS Ingraham."
Now think about this. You are the captain of a multibillion dollar US warship with hundreds or thousands of American lives in your charge and you don't obliterate those "white, box-like objects" with your 6,000 rounds per minute rotary cannons and destroy these possible mines making them a definite non threat. Nope, you risk the ship and everybody's lives and just keep on steaming right past them, and you don't even bother to pick them up and inspect them, as the article points out.
On some planet, I suppose this makes sense--the planet Alice In Wonderland went to.
The next day CNN runs tapes of the exchange as filmed and recorded by the Iranians and it looks and sounds like a typical hailing, identifying and ships passing, but nothing aggressive. Who do we believe, the Iranians who have no good reason to invite our bombs onto their cities, or our NeoCons who lied us into Iraq?
This is a probing exercise to determine the American people's gullibility and likely acceptance of yet another false flag initiation into another war on another oil rich country.
Since the official story as produced by our government is obviously as bogus as the one about the guy in the cave who paralyzed our air force and took down a half a dozen of our buildings with box cutters initiating two, going on three wars that have made the Project For the New American Century architects and all their supporters richer than Kings, what's not to believe?
Thanks, NeoCons, at least for being so brazen as to finally wake up so many sleeping consumers, er, uh, I meant Americans.
