That's an interesting idea. The fact that he's not a career politician only makes it more appealing imo. I've always respected and admired Moyers. I feel for the person who is asked to step into the mess, it's going to be a huge sacrifice and undertaking to even try and get things on a good path, not to mention the classic Rovian and Starr mudslinging and stalking.

I read today someone's serious suggestion of a Moyers/Ivins 'texas ticket'...
What do you guys think, would that be more of a 'deal maker' than 'breaker'?
Sadly, I must confess I hold forth little hope indeed that such a nomination would translate, ultimately, into anything more than a Democratic Party 'red herring' enroute to the election...

Has anyone been watching his series "Faith and Reason" on PBS? Its incredible; the kind of discussion we desperatly need right now.
"a long habit of not thinking a thing wrong, gives it a superficial appearance of being right, and raises at first a formidable outcry in defense of custom. But the tumult soon subsides. Time makes more converts than reason."

James, I enjoyed his interview with Pema Chodron recently, but, yes, it is indeed astonishing. Everything Moyers has done in his life is touched with credibility. Can anyone currently serving the Senate or Congrass make such a claim?
