I've heard Thom and others state that Colin Powell now says the the 2003 presentation to the UN regarding Iraq was the "low point" in his career. Colin Powell's chief of staff, Larry Wilkerson has made serveral statements regarding it being a low point in his career and in Powell's career. Is Powell himself on record as saying this? It came up in a discussion and I was called on it. Any clue's?

As part of a deliberate propagande machine, I think the 2003 presentation to the UN regarding Iraq cannot be seen as anything less than the absolute glorious Zenith of his career.

What I mean is this: I he really says this NOW, my response would be: you knew or should have known what you were doing, so STOP you whining, you little stuck up hypocrite asshole fascist sob nazi genocide conspiring liar piece of shit.

Wait, make that

you no good little stuck up hypocrite asshole fascist sob nazi genocide conspiring liar piece of shit.

I am angry that so many of the sons of the powerful and well-placed ... managed to wangle slots in Reserve and National Guard units .... (Colin Powell, My American Journey, p. 148)

For the good of the country, Powell should just stay quietly, and remorsefully in retirement. He sold his soul to work for the "Wangler in Chief", he betrayed the soldiers who looked to him for leadership.

At the United Nations, Powell demanded that the Pablo Picasso mural of Guernica be covered, prior to his arrival, lest someone photograph him ad falsely draw a conclusion that a large military was going to invade a small non-hostile country. And then there was My Lai.Colin Powell and My Lia
