Agree that Apple probably shouldn't have told him, but she was in love with him and figured that this was the guy she was going to spend the rest of her life with. He had - er - other ideas.

The unnamed murderer never intended to marry Apple nor have children with her. Apple was so in love with him she did not see this.

Apple's big error was in thinking that he felt the same way about her as she did about him. She did not really know him at all until he and his friends tried to kill her.

What happened to Apple was a pro-choice issue - it was her choice and the unnamed murderer did not respect it. It could have been the other way around in a different case - the boyfriend killing her for having an abortion.
