"An Inconvenient Truth" has come to the UK at last, so I'll be looking out for it. Have any of you seen it? What do you think?

I went and saw it, and I recommend it.

There was very little about global warming that I did not already know in it, since I have studied the subject at university level, but it still had an impact as the pictures and graphics are far more impressive on a cinema screen than static pictures in a book.

It should help those who have been made unsure by the misinformation in the media to have a clear vision of the basic facts.

It seems the naysayers follow the same logic as the tobacco companies in the 60s and 70s who refused to even consider that tobacco cause lung cancer.

I guess they can't face the consequences or responsibility, and hope they will be dead before too much changes. Pity their poor children.

Al Gore's Invonvenient Truth is a great introduction to this absolutely critical problem. Someone of his stature was needed to get this problem out in the open. Everyone who has seen that documentary, however, should read The Weather Makers next (avaliable at buzzflash). I'm half way through it and it has already blown my mind away. I'm ordering the audio disk version next. It and the book Collapse make a great companion set.
