Nancy Plosi is correct to have taken the impechment of G.W. Bush "off the table". Impeachment cannot be considered, while Dick Cheney is V.P. Cheney is one of the few people on Earth who would be a worse president than Bush. Bush could bear Bin Laden's love-child, and he would still be unimpeachable, if Cheney were the replacement. Cheney has stated that he will not testify before any congressional committees. The day after he refuses to honor a subpoena, a bill of impeachment should be filed in the House. And each refusal should bring another bill of impeachment. A quick impeachment in the House and trial in the Senate, of a man whose public approval ratings are lower than Paris Hilton's, would vacate the vice-presidency and put Nancy Pelosi next in line of succession. Impeachment of Bush becomes more possible. Of course, Bush gets to nominate a replacement, but such nominee must be confirmed by the Senate. Only 41 senators would be required to block Bush's nominee. Bush should be given a short list of nominees that they would confirm, or else the office can be left empty. This would eliminate the possiblity of a VP tie-breaking vote in the Senate, and would keep Ms. Pelosi as next-in-line for the presidency. Then, let the investigations begin!
