I happened to be in my car at lunch time and, since right-wing radio is all that is bradcast in my area, I'll listen to Rush to hear what ridiculous message he's currently barking.
While listening for the short insufferable period, he was defending his song parody "Barack the Magic Negro" (Puff the Magic Dragon). Apparently some TV station had picked up on his disgusting racist attitude, examplified by this song parody, and they talked about it on the air.
His defense was that he had been playing this song on the air since March and no one in "his" audience complained - therfore the "drive-by media" as he refers to them is way off base and out-of-touch. Unbelievable!
Move over, Imus. Make room on the unemployment bench. I hope!
That's the way I see it, but I may be wrong. "If it's germane then we're talking."
If you are truly offended, call the station Even better yet, call some of the sponsors

Thom says that if you call the station or the sponsors, the message that they get is that you are listening to that show, which achieves the opposite of you want.

Limbaugh is in trouble, and all the industery insiders know it. Hannity is nipping at his heels in the ratings. Expect the big buffoon to resort to the most desperate acts to maintain his audience.

I believe that's what's known as a Catch 22, is it not?

Wishful thinking. Rush is the New York Yankees of talk radio, whether you like him or not.

While listening to Randi today, I heard a clip of one his comments on his show long ago (August '06), one of his "Undeniable Truths" about how "Feminism was established so as to allow unattractive women easier access to the mainstream of society"....how RUDE!
I'm nothing to look at but, damn...that's harsh. I just wanted to reach through the radio and smack him silly. Must be all that oxycontin that's gotten to his brain.
If you belong to or have access to some organization, be it N.O.W.,PTA, school board, afl-cio, naacp, national Black Police Org., see if a petition can be started, with a beginning statement of "We the undersigned will boycott all products of the sponsors of rush limbaugh, beginning from the moment this pen finishes our names" After a 1000 signatures the boycott will progress to the sponsors on another show broadcast on wxyz. We will continue to expand, incrementally until he is suspended. BTW Misogyny's long trail [or is it tail] think of a backhand instead of a slap, two handed Chris Evert style would be good, brass ring jewelry would be a plus.
