I thought I might start a thread to see how much you judge a person by the vehicle they drive.
I am going to match who I think would drive what and see how close I get.
SueN and Bill King- Toyota Prius Poly and Randal- bicycles (you seem like you would both be very health oriented men) Log, Saw and Slab- probably have many cars, but one is probably a Ford 4x4 Howard- an antique european car (an old Volvo)
I know there a many other people on this site, but these are the ones that I feel like I have had the most "interaction" with, as to try to figure this out.
Anyone else want to give it a shot?

Is it a Toyota Hybrid? I guess I had you figured wrong, but I seemed pretty right on with Log. Umm since I'm really not a man (although I do find the name Hank endearing), I don't have a picture of my car, but I drive a 2006 Subaru Outback (it might actually give you a hint to where I live too).

Are you saying that you are not Hank? And here I thought you said your name was Hank. Does that make you a woman? Do you think that gets good enough gas mileage?
No Ford Escape Hybrid. Tampa Florida???

Anything wrong with that?
A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship.

A few years ago, I went freelance, and that meant being prepared to travel some distance away from home, and quote often irregular hours. So, in order to save travel time and fuel and running costs (but not capital costs!), I took a gamble and got a motor caravan. The van turned out to be a good investment.
I no longer travel to work, so it's not what I'd choose now. I'd look for something environmentally friendly, but probably smaller and cheaper than the Prius. In the mean time it does not matter all that much, since I average less than ten miles per week.

SueN, can you sleep in that van? Actually I remember reading an article in the Times (when we were in the UK) about some of the "green" cars that they had on the market, and there was a car (I think it was a VW) that got over 80 mpg (amazing). I also see that you pay additional tax on cars depending how "green" they are.
Saw, do you not like me? Nothing wrong with a 4x4, just not something I would drive, plus I live in a city, so not practical.
Ron, I thought you knew I was kidding when you first called me Hank, and I said 'how did you know'. Actually my name is Melissa, I live on the other coast, in Seattle, and now I feel so much closer to you all, even if I don't agree with your politics. (at all)

Nearly three quarters of poor households in America own a car; 31 percent own two or more cars. And then we have Sawdust, who own’s six ! How can you sleep at night?

Don't have a farm. I have a development, part of which has gravel roads which need box blading. My photo album has people in it, not things. Things are temporary, friendships last longer.

Don, my kid took this picture for a school report titled "My mom says my dad never grew up". I had to scour for photos of "stuff" too. More people and experience oriented.

Jay, everyone gets old. It takes a hell of a man to stay immature.
