I want to include information on a site about Salem International and list some of the Salem locations. However, while I have visited the sites it has not been easy to find a short 3-5 line description that sums it up. Additionally, I would like to post a rotating image(s) next to the description. I have sent a few e-mails asking for permission to use photos and for a simple 3-5 line description. With no luck I thought it might work to post on here.
Thanks

The thing is I plan to list more than just one or two organizations as time progresses. I will provide a link to the site(s) but in order to better arrange the page I think it is easier to limit the description to 5 lines or so plus the rotating gif.
I am interested in a couple of specific groups and then also 501.3 types that primarily use their monies for charity not administrative. The other case being groups that just really stand out IMO and others as very helpful in multiple ways/places.
And even if I did use what is posted on that page or even re-wrote it I still need to find out about permission for photos, even get some photos as the sites have some but not many.

Did you email Samuel Mueller at Salem Stadtsteinach? If he doesn't respond you might want to try sending him something in the mail or give him a call... he will know who to contact about what. Or Kenny, although he might not check his email for now, as he's trying to find his way 'downunda'... but I'm pretty sure he'll turn up eventually.
I basically agree with Andger about the 5-line limit though... I wouldn't know how to summarise Salem in just 5 lines
If no one responds you could of course go there yourself and take some pictures... I heard the end of October is a nice time to go

Sadly I do not have any money. Luckily I have found a temp low-hour job for $50/week but need another $50 on top of that to get by, being able to do any traveling such as that is out for the moment.
Once APB either gets some assistance, members, businesses... bascially gets to where I have some ability to pay myself or in some manner pay for a trip I would love to go there.
Even the two in the Northeastern US would be something - but at this time its a nope. If I increased the number of lines some that would be ok just again its the idea of providing a link to the site(s) on the page with giving room for the ones that will be there to be seen without an overabundance of scrolling just to get from one description to the next.
I will send out e-mails again to the people I have, I believe Samuel Mueller is on that list. If nothing happens that will be fine I still am waiting to hear from some other NPO's as well. Busy times right now for everyone so I know it is hard to read or respond to people. Take Care...

If I could take some pics for you when I'm in Stadtsteinach, I'd be more than happy to... I have a digital camera, and once I figure out how it works I'm sure it will take nice ones...
You'll have to wait until October though, but I can take as many pictures as you like, and I'll ask for permission to photograph the premises and for passing them on to the APB website. And you sure have my permission to use my pics in whatever way you see fit, of course as long as it is an honest and fair representation of Salem and what it's about, but I have no doubt in my mind that you'll honour that...
...If you wish to have a photo of a specific item just lemme know.

PS $50 a week, and that's all you live on? Woman, you're a saint!
Can I ask Thom or Sue if it's okay if we opened a thread on APB here? I don't know what they'll say, but I could give it a try, nothing's lost if they say no anyway, for we basically have 'no' already by not asking...
As they say in Dutch:
'Nee heb je, Ja kun je krijgen'

It may sound odd but I rather not ask for that. It is not at a place yet where something like that is applicable.
As for the pictures a few of them would be wonderful and so appreciated. I am beginning to think with the groups I will just have to list them and create some lines about them (myself or from the websites) without doing any more than notifying them they are on the site. The site is barely known now so it shouldn't make much difference.
I live with my sister and she is nice enough to not charge rent and buy most of the food. Up until now I had some money in savings and financial aide to help. At this point both are depleted. My main costs are insurance, gas, some food, and bills (often going unpaid these days). So the $50/week from my professor for helping will almost be enough. I actually need a minnimum of $75-$100.
