Hi I have been trying for months (since you "upgraded") to get in the chat room. I have the newest verion of JAVA. Still cant get in. That is just a side note. The real main reason I tried to get in the Chat today, was because I wanted to see if you guys knew Ed Scultze was stomping all over Thoms show from the start of this very first broadcast replacing Al Franken on Air America. Ed Schultze is hogging both AM 1240 and AM 1320. I can hear Thom in the background.
Edit: I am trying to listen in Sacramento.
I just turned the radio on again and Thom has the channel to himself. Hallelujah! Hope it stays fixed!
The first 45 minutes were un-listenable.
Love your show Thom. I have been missing you these last few months.

Did you register for the chat room? It's hosted by a different company to the message board so it is a different user name database (though you can use the same one if it is not taken).

yes, I am registered under the same name as here. (at least I think I am. I used to be, like, 6 months ago, or so)
I used to check in to the chat once in a while.
When I click the link, I get the "loading" animation. But it never stops.. I have let it try to load for over an hour before....no dice.
Could it be because of dial-up, maybe?
I can view who is on the chat in a little window under the "loading" animation and it doesnt seem to be overly populated, so thats not it.
I will try again and see if theres a login page. When I click the Chat link I am not prompted to log in or register. In fact that option doesnt even appear on the page; Here: http://www.thomhartmann.com/chat.shtml
I am probably not the only one either... if your numbers are down, this could be why.
I will try one more thing....allow pop-ups for this page. I installed the new IE browser (7?)and may not have reset it to allow popups for your site. (I dont think thats it though because I tried to get on the chat before the new browser)
I am just sooo gr8ful that Thom is back in Sacramento!!!
Thank you too, SueN... You are VERY helpful to the community. God Bless you all and good night.

Hi Sue- i have been trying to ask Thom a question on the chat room for awhile. Is this bad form? Should I believe that he has seen the question ,and not interested in answering, or do I need to be persistent. Thanks

I copy questions, comments and links from the room, including yours, into a private window to Thom when he's on air each day, so he doesn't miss them because they have scrolled off. He definitely welcomes and sees and responds to some, but I expect he is too busy to see all. He also reads the room himself during some breaks.
Questions and links relevant to the show are likely to be mentioned on air. He also responds to a few in the chat room.
As to whether he actually saw your question, I have no idea.
