I'm afraid of klanging the klaxon, b/c there are so many possibilities for false alarm. But, in this case, false alarm is actually a best case scenario. For those of you that aren't too woozy to understand the concept of a false flag, I am very sad to present our very own possibility: via the Oregon truth alliance, whomever they are http://www.oregontruthalliance.org/
Lately, such neocon notables as Senator Rick "frothy mixture of lube..." Santorum, and many others, like Stu Bykofsky's recent article: We need another 9/11 have been literally, and I do mean literally, begging for another 9/11.
And why wouldn't they?
Another two wars to profit from without scrutiny? Another million dead, without repercussions?
If you can grasp that the neocon cult is willing to poison or kill your own and that the threat might be closer than the TV says, then I hope a regular caller into Thom Hartmann will call this one in in hopes of bringing the very real threat to the airwaves. I personally will be trying to exploit some other radio connections.
Please, Portland. Even if we can't stop facism and false flag terrorism, can't we at least make them do it in California for fear of being exposed???
Yours in revolution,

They lied on the pretext for one war, why not another? Why not a staged event to retain power?
Neo-cons and the mind-set don't readily give up power...the attempted FDR coup shows that; and unless Dems make a serious mistake, the Rep. Party has pretty much committed suicide for a decade or more.

I receive my brother-in-laws copies of the London Times. Interesting article about U.S. fund managers warning Shell to withdraw from further Iranian investment. They are concerned that a war may destroy any new facilities Shell might go into joint venture with in Iran.

Iran not only has oil like Iraq, it also has the world's 2nd largest natural gas reserves after Russia. A very attractive plum for U.S. corporate interests. Need a war-mongering President to pluck it.

Worse case schenarios abound; trouble is, there's a few that are generally accepted by the cream of the crop scientist-Frankensteins here in the U.S. and around the world: like bad gases in the atmosphere, allowing burning rays to come in and fry us to a crisp- this is a favorite of the physisist Steven ? from M.I.T. and he's world renowned. , I My favorite last two are, a belief that we could all be driven crazy, if we're all sick with various modern toxic ailments, and when we have no happy people left, then we begin and complete eating each other (canabalism) of whose healthy and left over; thirdly, we could all become hostile, and finish off killing each other, for scarce food!
I ask the last blog-adder, how can religion play a part in the eventual waking-up of the political will of the American People, to develop clean energy sources?

Smiler Sorry, but I'm really a VERY happy person!
peace dove I prefer the scenario were were kill each other off, because it's preferable in many ways to being fried alive by sunlight, or especially preferable to canabalism, which in my opinion drops to number three, on the hit parade...

p.s.friends. after viewing Leornardo DeCaprio's new futuristic film, and listening to Thom expertly fielding questions, from a teacher, a senior and a young adult, et. al. my nightemare last night had been shorter than it, well, might have been.

GoodBusiness, religion is taught in a manner that tends to put or keep people asleep, not wake them up. Sorry, no help in the "religion" department. Usually, GG's religious teachings are about as good as it gets.

Don't get fried to a crisp. Build youself a nice monk house with foot-thick walls for protection fromn the sun, hurricanes and tornadoes, and at about 1/4 the cost of conventional housing.

Don't worry if we run out of energy. It doesn't require heating or cooling.
