Welcome to Al Franken’s listeners and anyone else who is new.
As of next Monday February 19, Thom will be using the Air America Radio number used by Al Franken and the other hosts, which I believe is 1 866 303 2270.
Thom is based in Portland, Oregon but will be broadcasting from New York City next week.
You can listen (again) Thom’s most recent show for free until the next show begins. Details
here.
You can also stream Thom’s local
KPOJ show. It airs from 6 to 9 a.m. weekdays Pacific Time.
Senator Bernie Sanders, Independent of Vermont is Thom’s guest for the first hour of nearly every Friday show. Bernie is happy to take your calls.
On the last hour of Fridays Thom has been doing something that has probably not been done on talk radio before – writing a book on air: “
Cracking the Code: The Art and Science of Political Persuasion".
The Thom Hartmann Program has been nominated for two
Project Censored Awards - February 7, 2007 - Coverage of the Military Commissions Act/ End of Habeas Corpus & November 3, 2006 - Coverage of the Operation Falcon Sweeps.
Over the past year,
Leonardo DiCaprio has produced a feature-length documentary titled "
The 11th Hour," about the fate and future of the human race. The movie draws from the book “
The Last Hours of Ancient Sunlight” written by
Air America’s very own
Thom Hartmann. At Leonardo’s request, Thom makes an appearance in the film as what he likes to call a “talking head” interviewed about the fate of humanity. The movie will be premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in France in May, and then set for a US release in the late summer/early fall.

Thom’s most recent Buzzflash "Independent Thinker"
Book of the Month Review is "Cannery Row" by John Steinbeck.
