Some of you will be happy to know that Thom’s message board is going to become free to everyone again. Those of you who have paid for premium access will be given memberships to Air America Premium in due course. In the meantime, access to the White Rose archives will continue.

This means that some sections will be reorganised, merged and renamed, and some discussions will be moved from one section to another.

The former premium pages will be more closely integrated with the message board sections, and the look of the forum will be changed to more closely match Thom’s .com site.

I’ll start making the changes later tonight. Please be patient while we change. Smiler

I hope you will like the changes.

Sue,

I wrote you a note in this thread, saw it was all over the forums, then deleted it and started a new thread. My deletion seems to have obstructed the view of the great news!

Smiler Kate

I'm afraid the system seems to have gotten confused. Not to worry, I'll remove the "feature across all forums" soon.

OK, that's the basics done, hopefully. I hope it didn't cause much disturbance. I see that some of you at least have been able to keep posting.

Please let me have any feedback here or over in the feedback section.

It's 4am here, so don't expect me back for a few hours. Smiler

Very nice! Even spotted some of Thom's writings I hadn't noticed before.

I like the color change. Especially in the "reply to" box. I can finally see what's in the little boxes so I don't have to guess anymore.

Overall, a very nice look.

Are you going to fix it so the links we've personally been to change colors like they used to?

What kind of stats are you getting out of this website?

I did it to match the .com site, but I'll be happy to change it. What colour would you like?

That's one of the things the feedback section's for. I find the site colours look very different on my PC and on my new portable, with one being much clearer and nicer than the other, and also there are differences between browsers, so I rely on people to tell me if something really isn't working for them.

Well, before they used to change from some color, blue I think, to a reddish color, indicating I'd clicked on the last post in a thread and read it. Now they stay the same color no matter what, so I don't know if I'm looking at a new post or not. I don't much care about the color, just that it changes. Right now I'm trying to keep track of post times.

I was asking about real webstats with total domain hits, bandwidth and search engine keywords. Here's a sample page:

h ttp://etc.gnarlodious.com/awstats/awstats.pl?month=06&year=2007&config=Gnarlodious

Remove the space in "http" to get the page, since it is private and can't show up in Google. Notice that you get a listing of top search engine keywords and page hits for search engine optimization. For really getting the traffic, webstats are the most important part of a website.

Sue, first thanks for the work on the board. I think that making the board free is a good idea and will attract more supporters of Thom's radio program, which is surely the intention.

I think everything looks great but miss the recent post button on the top of the page.

A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship.

I'm in the process of drawing a new "recent post" button to match the new color scheme. In the meantime, you can click on "find" and select it.

I'm in favor of a 'pay as much as you want' policy on this site!
In the 60's I learned that I know what money is: the dollar has a steady, and accepted value. And later at college I read information to the end that I don't know what money is: at least it is not just something which is intrinsically worthwhile, nor is it the only permitted thing for exchange, nor the only way to account for success. Now, with the failure of Republican Capitalism, substantiated on The Thom Hartmann Show, I know I don't know what money is! In fact, it may really be whatever the things are, that interest you.
Money has had an UNsteady value. And noone accepts the dollar equally...but in a better world...
Money would be from many places, and accessible to everyone rainbow . Money would be valuable to all, and to be considered, rare lightbulb .
This site should be expensive, but only what you want to pay roflmao !
