Yes, it seems that corporations are trying to extend the bounds of personhood as Webhosting is trying to adopt a child to be its mascot.

Though I can't verify the veracity of this (all I can find so far are press releases), this web hosting company is apparently attempting to adopt a child. I guess the company would be this child's legal parent and guardian.
