I like to ask Europeans on this Forum what THEY have done to complain to Brussels about Britains participation in these atrocities, about Holland's (Balkenende's) acquiescence, about Spains initial participation, and Berlusconi's involving Italy in this mess. So don't bitch, you are all guilty by omission.
How does one become an "amgry American"? Try waking up in the morning; if you aren't mad already, you just ain't paying attention. Most especially if you're a resident of Congressman John Linder's district.

I would like to respectfully ask you again to thoroughly read what's been said, without preliminarily making assumptions. That's the basis of a decent discourse. Jumping to conclusions about what people do or don't mean isn't.
You might, for instance, want to take notice that neither Adrian nor I have engaged in America bashing, contrary to your assumptions, and while you are at it: you might want to take notice that neither Adrian nor I have tried to shy away from taking responsibility of Europe's sordid past and present. In that respect, I find your remark "So don't bitch, you are all guilty by omission." rather tasteless.
Please respect your discussion partners.
BTW> In relation to respecting one's discussion partners: the opening post on this thread does not come across as particularly respectful, or as an actual expression of interest in what "Europeans on this Forum" do or do not do "to complain to Brussels about Britains participation in these atrocities, about Holland's (Balkenende's) acquiescence, about Spains initial participation, and Berlusconi's involving Italy in this mess.".
In that sense, it would appear to be a trap: open a thread about show me the yours, do so in a blatantly disrespectful manner, and next, when the addressed refuse to take the bait, accuse them of copping out.
Again: please respect me as a discussion partner. If you feel you can't do that, please refrain from addressing me at all, obliquely or directly.
Thank you.
PS> In case you wonder how I can read your post, even though I put you on my ignore list: If someone on the ignore list STARTS a thread, you can see the opnening post only. I will do you the courtesy of reading your response.
[edit] PPS> I watched that vid, and I of course agree completely, and I understand and share the anger. It is, however, more or less besides the point right now.

What makes you think that Linder is any worse than what we have here in FL.?? They're all the same...with their hand up...They raid the treasury and fill their personal coffers with special interest money. Very lucrative being in Washington. They deed themselves with the best healthcare OUR money can buy while they deny us, who pay their salary, and whom they are supposed to represent, the very same. Oh yeah....
I just heard that the serum that I need to be injected with in order to determine whether I am cancer free or not, cost me $1,700.00 I have medicare A and B and the best AARP supplement plan available, including D. Go figure. Why should anyone want to grow old here? I need Boniva....cost $82.00 per PILL. It seems to me we're better off in Cuba.

I'm a little surprised you haven't followed up; you started this thread, and I assumed you meant to enter into a dialogue with me and/or other Europeans here. I pointed out why I found your invitation less than appealing, and after that you have maintained a radio silence.
In hindsight, I can only come to the conclusion that you weren't interested in what Europeans on this Forum have to say after all, it would appear, rather, that you wanted to vent some frustration, and I find that not at all charming. I was led to believe that on this forum, people were not to attack each other, but the ideas instead. This thread would appear to be in direct violation of that, although I'm sure one could spin it around if one were so inclined.
