"Amazing"? Whadd'ya mean?
Didja wonder why Sudan is now controlled by a Moslem Theocracy? because they murdered all the Christians and heathens. Sudan used to be a nation of negroes before the Arabs invaded and committed genocide. But nobody noticed that part.

Anyone going there to do any good deeds has to be a total moron.

Sheesh! Now they want to chop off her head! I keep thinking of Rachel Corrie, the tourist who was crushed by an Israel bulldozer, and all the noise leftists made about that. The silence over the teacher is deafening...

Enjoy the silence.

Enjoy the vocal.

A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship.

I agree Gnarly,
A teacher teaching kids and persecuted and threatened with death by whackos, is ignored by all of the hyper sensitive groups that have a never ending fit over arab prisoners in Abu Grape because they were "tortured" by gaurds that made them were underwear on their heads.

Where are the NOW activists? (don't want to take a position)
Where are the protestors?
Where is Jesse Jackson?
Where are all of those that get involved in every atrocity ever committed by the US demanding justice?
Where in the hell is the British government for Gods sake?

The psychos get a pass because no one would dare question their "faith" or whatever other stupid excuse they have to kill British women.

IMO, England should offer the loonies in Sudan 24 hours to release the woman hostage or face 100 sock puppets.

Jihad this,

Maybe they could offer to change the teddy bear's name, to Moses, or Abraham, or Jesus, or Shem, not to be confused with Shemp, beloved brother of Moe, and Curly [Peace be on them, and Larry too]

That's a mass murder of millions of innocent people on a scale the 20th century hasn't seen you happen to be considering.

So, IMO, it's loonies like YOU and your pityful little band of ultra-right wing war monger extremists that should face torture, concentration camps, and mass extermination. No trials necessary for the subhuman.

Good thing neither you nor me are in charge of this thing, though huh? Lucky you, you get to live another day. No such luck for all the people that fell victim to American genocidal policies of the last couple of hundred years or so. But what do you care, right? You got yours.

I'm a perfectly reasonable guy, it's just that I don't particularly enjoy reading about how my relatives should all be exterminated. I'm sure at least some of you can relate to that.

Now, Jihad THAT, mother****er.

And with demonstrating what it can do to as many people as possible; preferably to people that are in no position to return the favor.

You want to combat extremism with even more violent extremism? That's the way to World War Three, IMO.

She has been visited by two Muslim members of the House of Lords and the British Ambassador as well as her lawyers - better treatment than those in Guantanamo, some of whom are at least as innocent.

Teddy bear teacher could be released today

The charges against Gibbons angered the British government, which urgently summoned the Sudanese ambassador to discuss the case, and British and American Muslim groups also criticized the decision.

I deplore the extremism of those who are calling for her death. Please don't make calls for violence on this board.

I'm sorry, but as I see it, you're sending a very mixed message here.
What you wrote could be read as "please don't call for Gillian Gibbons' death", apparently ignoring the fact that 'Slabmaster' not merely calls for the death of one person, but for the death of millions, de facto proposing a new Holocaust.
I would like to hear from you whether or not this is what you intended to say. I don't think so, but as it is now, I can't really tell for certain. To this may be added the facts that you mention no names, and that this individual is allowed to continue posting freely, a very dubious policy indeed.

According to the terms of service you aren't supposed to be calling anyone an asshole either.

None of us are perfect.

Look, it's nr. 2 to the rescue.

Sawdust, you DO see the difference between calling for Holocaust, the death of millions, and calling a person who calls for the death of millions an 'asshole', don't you?

(I would have gladly made Hitler eat lead if I had had the chance, if that could have averted WWII.)

Or is it all the same to you? Of course it is. You extremists are all the same when it comes to killing people. Between breakfast and lunch, and on to something new before dinner time.

For the record, I never claimed perfection. I merely pointed out mass murder. Is that ok by you?

It's pretty simple.
I don't like hostage takers and would solve their problem if I was king. I'm not though.
Sue doesn't like trading one for another and I can handle that so I'll pull back on the rehtorec a bit.
You whine about an opinion you disagree with and call me an asshole on your first post to my thread, then have the idiocy to ask why I'm allowed post freely? LOL!
Read the terms and conditions.
Opinions are welcome to my knowledge.

This pattern within the liberal mindset is pretty amazing.
What a petty knee jerk reaction to a difference in views.
It's revealing and.....weak.

So if you violate the terms of service passionatly it's a good thing? Isn't that like being a little pregnant?

You're calling for mass murder. "Yeah, let's kill us a coupla million!"

I don't very much care for your opinion about me, I'm sure you understand.

Who's whining, though? what were YOU doing the morning of 10/11?
I betcha a buck for every life you would so indifferently take you weren't as indifferent as you pose to be now.

Hope you lost a lot of friends and family that day. I did, so I happen to know what that feels like. Do you?

Coward.

Incidentally, "trading one for another"? You are trading one for a couple of million. And something else: blood thirst is not an 'opinion', no matter how you like to spin it. You want to kill people, many people, as many as possible, as soon as possible, and you want to do it overseas, so you won't have to get involved. That's not an opinion, it's psychopathy.

How do you know who is innocent and who is guilty in Guantanamo?
I don't.
I think sometimes where there is smoke, there s fire.
I also don't know who was railroaded on death row in Folsom prison. Ask any inmate and they'll tell you they're innocent.
This British school teacher is a hostage of psychos.
I would not negotiate with psycho hostage takers is all.

Edit:
If the hostage takers had more sock puppets or funny websites that they post to themselves on, they might not be so obsessed with screwing with others.
Or....maybe not.

... and you'd gladly kill millions to make that point.

(and of course, you wouldn't do it yourself. You'd have someone else do the killing for you.)

10-11?
October.......I was probably going to work if it was a weekday. Can't remember that day in particular to tell ya the truth.

You hope I lost alot of friends and family?
Nice messege. What happened to "being good"?
Gosh Miles, that is pretty harsh and uncalled for.
I'm shocked.

NT, this is a message board. Frequently we disagree, sometimes passionately. Nations aren't going to follow actions suggested on the Hartmann forum. Personally, I've said that I thought the entire Middle East was a sewer and we should turn it into glass. I didn't actually mean it, it was just hyperbole. It did allow me to vent my frustrations over suicide bombers and airplane hijackers. If it were up to me, the only people who would die there were the ones who want to so they can fulfill their twisted vision of eternity.

Now consider this. While we can't effect national policy, we can build interpersonal relationships with actual individuals who participate here.

You tell me what's worse. Venting about a woman being held captive over a teddy bear that will have no consequence or being aggressive with a real person and violating the terms of service which you agreed to when you signed up for the board.

I don't, but many were eventually released without charge, and many still have not been charged. After all this time, how many have been convicted in an open court?

Whilst it seems likely that some there are guilty, they ought to be tried in an open court and their guilt proven. Whatever happened to innocent until proved guilty?

I'm not disagreeing with you.
The lack of trial and prosecution is troubling to me as well. My thought is if Hillary is elected, what then? She still thinks their is a vast right wing conspiracy.
I do understand that the hoodlums that are involved with terrorism also don't follow any form of warfare "rules". We would be foolish to allow them to continue dodging accountibility by using our own laws against us.
I'm not completely comfortable with the guilt by association that is happening in Guantanamo.
Doesn't make it easy or fair, but I do see progress in the elimination of organized terrorism.
Results matter.

People are going to read this message board and see that there are people here calling for the murder of millions of people. They aren't going to say "oh, it's only Sawdust saying what he doesn't mean". You are responsible for your words. Words create impressions. Unless you want all readers of this board to think you would nuke millions, then for your own sake, as well as that of the board, please don't say anythinkg like this ever again. If you do, you will be banned. Venting of this nature should be done in private, where nobody can overhear. The same goes for threats against individuals.

Really? Oh, good. In that case, I think that all republicans should be tortured for 48 hours and shot. I hope you suffer.
quote:

Indeed. How about we start by NOT calling for our respective families' deaths.
quote:
You tell me what's worse. Venting about a woman being held captive over a teddy bear that will have no consequence

Venting? is that what that was? Because I don't think buy that. When Slabmaster was told to ****ing behave, he said he would change his tone, but didn't address the content. In other words, he's now going to call for the next holocaust in a pleasant and civilized voice.
quote:
or being aggressive with a real person and violating the terms of service which you agreed to when you signed up for the board.
Aggression to the VERY REAL people in Sudan of course doesn't count. My VERY REAL family, I might add.
So what's worse? Ok, I apologize for calling Slabmaster an asshole. I shouldn't have violated the terms of service, and I'm sorry.
Here's an opinion for you, and mind you, I'm just venting, so this is ok: I hope you lost many people on 9/11 (clever, Slabmaster! No reply, though, huh?) you loved. I hope they suffered. I hope they bled to death, the freedom fighters (what you no doubt refer to as 'terrorists') sat around and laughed at them in their agony. I hope you lose more during the wars you are so eager to wage all over the world. I hope that you die in a terrorist attack. I hope you and the people you love will suffer before they die. Hope you get chopped up alive, starting at your toes.

Merely venting, you see. Just an opinion. I don't actually mean this; I'm just getting it out of my system.

Bullshit.
